Meet Viktor

August 11th, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Art

Viktor takes a vector image and draws it using chalk on a blackboard. His older brother Hektor blew me away when I was in studying: I’m quite intrigued with Digital to Analogue output, especially using robotics. Both machines are something I’d love to one day have, or ideally build, and leave running in my house. […]

Mario Ambrosius - Ma Poupée Japonaise

August 8th, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Art

An old series by Artist Mario Ambrosius. Love how the the model doll is photographed as though she had just been dropped, but especially because the artist has managed to take the concept out of the whole cliched lolita doll aesthetic. Be sure to view the whole gallery.

GRAFF-AT - Graffitied Imperial At-At Walker

August 6th, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Art

Suckadelic, in collaboration with EASE and JK5, took a Hasbro AT-AT Walker and covered it in Graff. What’s interesting about this one though is, all the tags are done in the Aurebesh language, a fictional language from the Star Wars universe. Geeky stuff, we love it.
You can check out the rest of his questionable art, […]

Layerbylayer’s geometric forms

August 6th, 2008  |  by Irene  |  published in Art, Product

A “schooled architect” uses his model building skills to create these beautiful craft/art/objects.
Made from recycled cardboard, beeswax and patches of moss, you’ll enjoy having these to look at on the gloomy days, all without having much in the way of maintenance. They’re really affordable too.
Desk too messy ? Then maybe try the smaller magnetic […]

Ryohei Hase

July 8th, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Art

We absolutely adore this piece by Japanese illustrator (and artist) Ryohei Hase. He’s done some background and monster design work for the likes of Square Enix and Namco, couple of other gems in his portfolio like this piece from his “Their Feeling” series.

Life support

July 3rd, 2008  |  by Irene  |  published in Art

So Greyhound racing is pretty damn shit, if you consider the sheer number of dogs that are euthanasia’s simply because they can’t run fast enough. Revital Cohen’s come along proposing using retired race dogs are a form of external organ replacement, or life support system. Design as commentary, I do find the idea of the […]

Kaws Video Interview With i-D Magazine

July 3rd, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Art, Interview

Almost let this one slip, this i-D Magazine interview Kaws on his background, and the design process, was pretty engaging. And he seems like such a nice and honest guy as well.

The Resurrection

June 26th, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Art, Site Update

We’re back! I’m decided to revive this thing again as we try and make another push into going live. And what better way to go live than with new artwork: Cellar from the series After Dark, My Sweet comes from the mind of Joshua Hoffine. He got a blog that he seems to update fairly […]

Dropclock - As Seen Everywhere

April 3rd, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Art

It’s being posted everywhere, but I’ve decided to chip in my 2 cents on this fantastic screensaver anyway. Now, I say screensaver loosely because well, like most modern day screensavers this isn’t going to be saving any screens from burn in anytime soon. It also chugs quite a bit of CPU as it goes through […]
