Single men’s choice - 8 products for the single man

August 5th, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Design

So, in urban Switzerland more than every second household is kept by a single living man. That convinced 3 Swiss Industrial Design students to design 8 products specifically for single men, based on their needs and problems. The products themselves are pretty special, but also check out all 68 ideas that they had. Great portfolio […]

Storm Sewer System - Saitama, Japan

August 5th, 2008  |  by Irene  |  published in Design

Old stuff is still good stuff, we’re immensely fascinated with urban structures, especially big epic industrial ones. Definitely worth a look and read if you haven’t chanced on this before. We’ll be visiting this place for sure when we’re next in Japan.

Bird Electron’s AirBoard Keyboard Tray

August 5th, 2008  |  by Irene  |  published in Design, Product

Some might say this completely defeats the minimalist approach that Apple has taken with they’re keyboard, but who cares? Wood grain and aluminium were born to be side by side. This little wrist read by Japanese company Bird Electron is available here for 5,000円. Check out their products, including these cube ipod speaker.

Yehrin Tong (Portfolio)

August 5th, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Design

Some great work I would have totally missed if Today and Tomorrow didn’t post it up, highlighting the above patterns. Which would be a shame because apparently Yehrin had a part to play in some of the work by my favourites Non-Format.

Nice Milk Jugs

August 5th, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Design

Alright, Walmart is apparently pushing these out in the States, they don’t require crates or racks for shipping and storage. Instead, the newly designed milk gallon is self stacking because the spout is flatter and each gallon can rest on another during transport, as well as while on display. Apparently consumers may need some re-education […]

more trees x SUKEZANE Tomoki: Kronan Type 2

July 29th, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Bike, Design, Product

I really do like this custom 3 speed Kornan bike, Kronan being a Swedish bicycle manufacturer that originally was a supplier for the Swedish Army. They’ve swapped out a whole bunch of stuff, including a Brooks seat, and that license plate is way too cute. Available for, oh around ¥450,000 from the Rumours store run […]

Graniph Design Award 2 winners announced

July 6th, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Brand, Design, Product

Graniph received 15000 entries this year. The results, the usual Graniph look and feel. The winning entry certainly echoes Kozyndan’s old work, but yeah I guess they didn’t invent bunnies. Check out the rest of the winners.

Mokkatanten Porcelain USB Garden Memory Key

July 3rd, 2008  |  by Irene  |  published in Design, Product

Us at AllTomorrow Magazine simply adore the USB drives crafted from tree branches, and for similar reasons we’re quite fond of these beautiful porcelain ones. Perhaps a reminder of how fragile and precious data can be to us, it’ll definitely force us to be careful with them. Ok so maybe they’re not totally suitable for […]

Incase SF Design Studio

July 3rd, 2008  |  by admin  |  published in Design

Incase introduces it’s brand spanking new design studio in SF, and it looks pretty spanking. They’ve featured their custom conference table and dj booth on their blog, but it’s actually the storage wall (pictured above, and yeah I’m boring like that) that caught my eye to be honest. It’s all quite sleek and and clean, […]
